Loud and Clear

Last spring this Swainson's Hawk sent me a strong message when she saw me emerge from my car to photograph three fledglings perched on a power pole. The kids were flighted but still relying on the adults for food and the parents' protective instinct was fully intact. I ducked back into my car and left to keep exploring the Klamath Basin.
